The Affiliate Practice Director will demonstrate the ability to manage client affiliate programs and deliverables across client verticals and platforms. The Affiliate Practice Director will report to a Head of Media and is responsible for leading and managing the execution of affiliate campaign performance and strategies to ensure on-time delivery and properly communicate initiatives to help achieve client goals. This position plays an important role in leading the development and growth of the affiliate channel team and providing project expertise to clients, partners, and other external audiences.

Core responsibilities include day-to-day management with the support of the Affiliate Manager of affiliate programs through platforms, strategic partnership development, client communication, and helping the channel work cross-functionally within PMG.

Responsibilities:


  • Cultivate trust, maintain robust relationships, and act as the primary contact for clients and partners regarding affiliate programs
  • Comprehend clients' brands, structure, and industry to lead client meetings and create impactful presentations. 
  • Work harmoniously with Strategy, Brand teams to execute strategic plans and best-in-class solutions.
  • Understand project goals and work collaboratively to drive results. 
  • Monitor industry changes, translating those into actionable recommendations and optimizations.
  • Oversee budgeting and forecasting for clients' affiliate programs, including weekly pacing reports. Ensure operational success, timely delivery, and adherence to budget.
  • Prioritize efforts to focus on key deliverables. Plan, manage, and execute affiliate campaigns, handling all aspects from account setup to strategy development, partnership recruitment, relationship management, and daily program management.
  • Audit, review, and analyze reports, leading optimization efforts to meet campaign objectives, performance, and overall channel goals for clients.
  • Vet and collaborate with new and existing partners, nurturing strategic relationships that spur growth for clients and PMG.
  • Work in unity to translate strategic vision into practical solutions and seek continual improvement in processes or introduce novel approaches that contribute to PMG's success.
  • New Business Participation and the ability to pitch and develop an affiliate story for new business opportunities.

Skills & Experience:


  • 10+ years of direct affiliate management experience.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • Mastery in managing large-scale, multifaceted affiliate campaigns.
  • Thorough knowledge of key affiliate platforms (Impact, Partnerize, Rakuten, CJ, Awin).
  • Established experience with the acquisition funnel, performance marketing KPIs, and profitability levers.
  • Technical acumen in digital performance marketing products and services (SEO, SEM, Social, Influencer, etc).
  • Exceptional organizational and project management abilities.
  • Strong leadership qualities within client and team environments.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Demonstrated excellence in prior affiliate roles and top-tier project management.
  • Advanced technical expertise with an ability to critically analyze data and make specific recommendations.
