POSITION SUMMARY: CCI Health Services is seeking a dedicated, organized, and detail-oriented individual to fill this entry-level position as the Data Entry Coordinator within the Refugee Health Assessment Program. As a Data Entry Coordinator for the RHA Program, you will play a vital role in maintaining the integrity and accuracy of the data that is entered into the Maryland Immigrant and Refugee Information System (MIRIS). You will be responsible for entering essential data generated during the RHA medical visits into the MIRIS database, ensuring that it is completed accurately and within the required timeframe. In addition, you will be responsible for rectifying any data entry errors and reentering information as necessary by working with clinical and administrative staff to obtain necessary documents, information, or results.
KEY FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Data Entry: Accurately input all relevant patient data into the MIRIS system within after the completion of both required medical visits. Data Quality Control: Respond in a timely fashion to the state coordinators about discrepancies in data, errors, or missing information and take corrective actions as needed. Medical Chart Review: Review individual patient medical records to obtain all the required data points for MIRIS within visit notes, labs, scanned documents, and other portions of the medical record. Data Integrity: Maintain the confidentiality and security of patient data, following all applicable privacy and security protocols. Team Collaboration: Collaborate with healthcare professionals and RHA program staff to ensure that any medical information and records are correct and accurate for data entry into MIRIS. Training: Stay up-to-date with MIRIS system updates, programmatic requirements, and participate in training sessions as needed.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
High school diploma or equivalent (associate degree or higher is a plus). Strong attention to detail and a commitment to data accuracy. Excellent computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office applications. Ability to work independently and within a team. Strong organizational and time management skills. Good communication skills, including the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues. Sensitivity to the needs and cultural backgrounds of asylees, refugees, and special visa holders. Prior experience in data entry or data management, a plus. Familiarity with healthcare and electronic health records (EHR) systems, a plus.
