We are currently seeking a Packing House Sanitation Assistant to join our Food Safety team as a crucial link in the food supply chain.This position will be responsible for ensuring the overall cleanliness of the packing house, packing equipment, tools, and utensils. The Packing House Sanitation Coordinator will also support the Food Safety program with internal and external audits. Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, overall facility sanitation, equipment cleaning, record keeping, and pathogen testing in a cold environment.
ABOUT THE JOB
This is a full-time position.The schedule will be
Sunday to Thursday, 10pm - 6am.
The pay for this role will be $15/hour, based on experience, plus FREE (100% employer-paid) medical and dental insurance.Responsibilities will include:
- Log daily cleaning and sanitizing of tools, utensils, tables, and equipment.
- Ensure PPE, chemical, and cleaning supplies are restocked regularly.
- Ensure all trash and recycling containers in the Packing House are regularly emptied, cleaned, sanitized, and replaced.
- Sweep floors in the warehouse and breakrooms, including facility steps. Use the floor cleaning machine to wash/scrub floors, remove excess water from coolers, and clean high-traffic areas and all storage area floors.
- Dismantle, clean, and reassemble various machines in the Packing House weekly. Ensure that all machinery is in good working order when reassembled.
- Complete quarterly and bi-annual cleaning of overhead lights, roll-up doors, racks, rollers, the perimeter of the Packing House, and painted columns.
- Oversee the daily task list of the Packing House Sanitation Assistant to ensure all duties are complete.
- Complete all required SQF Compliance Logs completely and accurately.
- Manage pathogen, water, and other environmental testing in compliance with our food safety practices.
- Conduct light maintenance on all material handling equipment.
- Perform all tasks and duties in an efficient and safe manner.

Qualifications
- High School Diploma, or equivalent, preferred.
- Three (3) years of sanitation experience preferred.
- Warehouse, industrial, and/or cold environment experience preferred.
