A candidate would ideally be located within commuting distance to our Blue Bell, PA (Philadelphia) or Duluth, GA (Atlanta) offices for a hybrid working arrangement. 

Position Purpose


The Business Technology Strategist is responsible for understanding complex business challenges and translating these needs into actionable technology solution requirements and strategies. This role involves working closely with clients and internal teams to design and implement technology solutions that drive business value and innovation.

Position Responsibilities


  • Participates in, and executes the delivery of Verinext's strategy engagements for client organizations
  • Participates (typically as part of a team) and facilitates "art of the possible" workshops including ideation, solution concept generation, and requirements prioritization using the Verinext framework
  • Understands and can effectively communicate to a broad audience enabling components such as data and analytics platforms, security, front-end, back-end, agile application development, DevOps, and user experience across multi-channel applications and cloud native software engineering
  • Collaborates with team members and clients to produce best practices and processes related to client’s business needs.
  • Supports business development discussions with clients related to technology and business strategy
  • Contributes to the improvement and innovation of Verinext strategy offerings and methodology for clients
  • Participates in the creation of Verinext thought leadership including blog posts, webinar presentations, and speaking engagements.

Required Skills and Experience


  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Software Engineering or related discipline or equivalent experience.
  • Typically possesses 10 – 15 years of experience of practical, enterprise or consulting experience in a related technical discipline such as software development, data and analytics, systems engineering or vertical industry such as financial, healthcare, retail, energy, etc.
  • At least 5 years of experience in roles including management consulting and business strategy
  • At least 2 years of experience with large scale digital transformation projects – ideally with a focus on customer experience applications across multiple markets
  • Demonstrated success in facilitating strategy/innovation sessions with both business and technology participants
  • Strong presentation abilities to both technical and business audiences
  • Working knowledge of modern software elements and key disciplines such as data processing, devops, AI/ML, microservices, security, containers and application infrastructure.
  • Current knowledge of technology vendor ecosystem as it relates to software engineering
  • Familiarity with a range of strategy and rapid innovation methods
  • Comfortable lightweight project management to lead strategy engagements
  • Experience facilitating workshops with large enterprise companies
  • Superior oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Experience working in a team to develop and execute digital transformation strategies, plans, and programs for clients across many industries
