Your Responsibilities
As a Dental Treatment Coordinator, you will play a vital role in ensuring a seamless patient experience from the initial consultation to treatment completion. Your primary responsibilities will include effectively communicating treatment plans, coordinating appointments, assisting patients with financial arrangements, and ensuring a positive and stress-free experience for our valued patients.
- Engage with patients to explain treatment options, answer questions, and address concerns in a clear and empathetic manner.
- Collaborate with the dental team to create comprehensive treatment plans tailored to each patient's needs and goals.
- Schedule appointments for treatments, consultations, and follow-up visits, taking into consideration the patient's availability and the clinic's schedule.
- Assist patients in understanding and navigating insurance coverage and financial obligations, providing accurate cost estimates, and exploring payment options.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, treatment plans, and correspondence to ensure efficient communication and coordination.
- Work closely with the front desk and administrative staff to ensure a smooth patient flow and an organized office environment.
- Continuously update your knowledge of dental treatments, procedures, and insurance policies to provide accurate information to patients.
- Handle any patient concerns or issues that may arise during the treatment process, escalating them as necessary to ensure prompt resolution.
As one of the essential members of our office, you will also help to facilitate/coordinate other office responsibilities as needed.
Your Background
The Dental Treatment Coordinator plays a vital role in ensuring that our patients receive the best possible care by effectively communicating treatment plans, assisting with financial arrangements, and coordinating appointments. You also have the following:
- Previous experience in a dental office, preferably as a treatment coordinator or in a similar patient-facing role, equating to 1 or 2 years of experience in similar work
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport and trust with patients and the dental team.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to explain complex treatment information in a clear and understandable manner.
- Detail-oriented and organized, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously.
- Proficiency in dental software and basic computer skills.
- Understanding of dental terminology, procedures, and insurance processes.
- Empathetic and patient-centered approach to customer service.
- A high school diploma.
