Marigold Health is hiring a Manager of Peer Services to help manage our workforce of peers as we grow nationally. The Manager of Peer Services will support Marigold Health’s staff, partners, and members. You’ll provide supervision, consultation, education, and operational guidance for facilitating peer support day-to-day, based in recovery principles of hope, mutuality, choice, self-determination, and social connectedness. You will work closely with clinical leadership to implement processes to ensure a high-quality peer service for our members. We have designed an asynchronous-first treatment program where members support each other. We believe peers, individuals in recovery themselves who have received training to support others, can empower and engage those least likely to interact with current forms of care.
What You'll Do - Key Responsibilities
- Manage and supervise daily operations of peer duties and assignments; provide constructive feedback with daily huddles, weekly group meetings, weekly 1-1’s, and informal check-ins
- Manage performance and development of supervisees, Peer Specialists and Recovery Coaches; provide administrative and clinical support for team
- Remain knowledgeable of and follow appropriate policies, procedures, and work standards, including but not limited to, policy regarding hours of work, absenteeism, and tardiness
- Promote a positive, inclusive and collaborative work environment
- Provide administrative support to clinical operations team including being on call or working during holidays and weekends
Operational and Clinical Excellence
- Build a culture of continuous improvement and iteration around personal, team, and organizational processes and performance
- Maintain and grow expertise in recovery models and practice including strengths-based work, harm reduction, de-escalation, and increasing readiness to engage in proactive care,
- Contribute to app development; co-design and contribute to novel interventions on app
- Create and lead recovery-related mutual aid groups
- Comply with dParticipate cross-functionally to ensure we are meeting key enterprise metrics of growing app membership, activity, and engagement
- Utilize organizational policies and standards as the basis for decision making and to support the company’s mission and goals
- Adapt to changing needs, including but not limited to, aiding team members, adjusting assignments, and other functions
- Define, allocate and manage internal and external resources for the peer team
- Utilize data and reporting to inform coaching strategies with peers and recovery coaches
Your Skills, Experiences and Competencies
- Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree in Social Work or equivalent level of education in related discipline preferred
- Independently licensed as a behavioral health practitioner (LCSW, LPCMH, LPC, LMFT, LCADC)
- Completed, or be willing to complete, Recovery Coach and/or Peer Specialist Supervisor training
- Comply with all licensing, regulatory, and partnership requirements for peer supervision in the state(s) of oversight
- Demonstrated expertise in the models, principles and practice of peer support and recovery coaching including strengths-based work, harm reduction, de-escalation, and crisis intervention; in creating treatment, recovery, and crisis plans
- Understanding of the peer workforce and their experience with high need patients due to SUD and/or mental health diagnoses, housing instability, incarceration, food insecurity, etc.
- Experience in mental health/addiction treatment and utilization of peers in these settings
- Demonstrated success in managing peer workforce, improving workflows, and ensuring accountability for progress to outreach and engagement goals
- Demonstrated ability to understand and utilize performance metrics to assess progress, prioritize allocation of peer work, and adjust/change course as needed
- Strong writing skills; experience in creating client/patient-facing written content is a big plus
- Supervisory experience with Peer Specialists and Recovery Coaches, in a remote and/or multi-site setting; experience delivering peer support digitally (e.g., on social media) is a big plus
- Bilingual skills preferred (especially Spanish, but other languages are welcome)
- Comfort using a smartphone, computer, and software tools such as Microsoft Teams
- Reliable access to internet in a private space (we provide equipment, e.g., a laptop computer and phone)

Reporting, Schedule and Location
- The Peer Services Manager will report to the Director of Clinical Operations and will collaborate closely with other members of the Clinical team and members of the Product and Corporate teams. You can work remotely anywhere in the US. Most team members work virtually from home. If you prefer in-person work for any portion of the week, we currently have offices in Delaware, Rhode Island and Massachusetts. Expected working hours are 2 PM - 10PM ET and weekend coverage will be an expected part of this role. Travel to our peer sites on occasion may be required. Travel costs will be covered by the company.

Compensation, Benefits and Culture
- The base salary range for this role is $65-90K, depending on experience and clinical licensure. For those without licensure, the salary range is $65 - 75K annually. Those with Clinical licensure can expect $75 - $90K.

Interview Process
- After you submit your application, it will be reviewed by the hiring manager and select members of the team. If it seems like we’re a good fit for each other, we will follow up and schedule a 15-30 minute phone call with one of our leaders to get to know you.
- If we jointly decide to move forward, you can plan to (virtually) attend a video interview with a member of our clinical leadership team.
- The final stage would be to meet (2-4) other members of the team via video conference for additional conversations about your approach to collaboration, your relevant experience to current projects, and alignment with our values. All in, you can expect the time commitment for this stage to be 3-4 hours of synchronous interaction, scheduled to fit your needs.
