We’re looking for an experienced B2B sales leader to join our Trade Team. As the Director, Trade Sales, you will work with key design firms across the country and lead a group of Account Executives working to build relationships and drive spend, retention and growth from our network of interior design partners. This team works to build relationships and help make 1stDibs the first place designers come to source for their projects. As a sales leader, you will hire, train, and coach a team of sales professionals to hit key sales targets.

You have experience developing and executing sales strategy, scaling successful teams and working with cross-functional teams to remove roadblocks and optimize sales performance. You’ll have knowledge of Salesforce (or other similar sales tools) and experience working with opportunity pipelines, and KPIs for tracking, reporting, and decision-making. 

This is a hybrid role located in New York, NY (2 days/week in-office).


What you’ll do:


  • You will drive Trade growth in new and repeat customers, and share of wallet by developing and executing sales strategies
  • You will work with sales operations and Analytics to measure sales team strategies to optimize performance and forecast revenue
  • You will leverage data, customer insights and market trends to formulate learnings that will inform sales strategy
  • You will hold weekly 1:1s with your team to achieve their full potential to meet and exceed their quotas and KPI’s
  • You will motivate and lead a team to meet and exceed aggressive team revenue goals
  • You will train team members on sales best practices, including the use of Salesforce.com to ensure CRM compliance
  • You will execute sales campaigns focused on supply, platform features, Trade 1st Program benefits, etc.
  • You will help secure calls and meetings with your team, ensure your team has the proper resources to close deals
  • You will attend Trade events and meetings inside and outside of NYC with your team

Who You Are:


  • You are an experienced B2B sales leader with a luxury brand, marketplace, or e-commerce platform
  • You have 8+ years of sales experience
  • You have a track record of exceeding sales goals and leading a team of high-performers
  • You have experience developing sales strategies and KPIs
  • You have excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong presentation skills with ability to lead meetings with multiple internal and external stakeholders
  • You are analytical and data-driven, using data to set goals, make decisions, coach team members and drive performance
  • You have experience using Salesforce for tracking, reporting, and decision-making
  • You are skilled at prioritizing and multitasking, and comfortable allocating time/resources to the most essential drivers of growth

  • You have experience/interest in decorative arts/design

Our overall compensation package is made of several parts, base compensation being one of them. At 1stDibs we value and are proud of our culture, innovation, professional development and training workshops, trust and giving back to the community.  Equity, a comprehensive benefits package, and incentive (IF APPLICABLE)  are all are components of your total compensation package.  Ultimately, in determining your pay, we'll consider your location, experience, and other job-related factors.Tri-State Pay Range$166,000—$181,500 USD
