Job Summary
Looking for an experienced and highly skilled Senior Cloud Security Engineer to join the HighRadius Cloud Engineering team. The primary responsibility of this role is to ensure the security and integrity of our cloud environments. He/she should be a technical expert in cloud security solutions, possess strong DevOps skills, and is proficient in automating security processes. He/she will play a critical role in designing, implementing, and maintaining security controls and measures to protect our cloud-based infrastructure and data.
Key Responsibilities
- 6 - 9 years of working experience as a Cloud Security Engineer, with a strong focus on cloud-based infrastructures (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
- Working experience with DevOps methodologies and tools, such as CI/CD pipelines, containerization (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes), and infrastructure automation (e.g., Terraform, Ansible, Puppet). Proficiency in using version control systems (Git) and integrating security practices into the SDLC
- Experience in writing infrastructure code (IaC) to provision and manage cloud resources in a consistent and scalable manner. This includes defining and automating security compliance checks and processes using tools like AWS Config or Azure Policy and applying security controls and policies as code to ensure security is integrated into the cloud infrastructure from the outset.
- Experience in defining and implementing a well-architected foundation for cloud accounts, networks, and security controls. Experience with designing and implementing secure landing zones in cloud environments is highly desirable.
- Hands-on experience in designing and implementing robust identity and access management solutions (IAM), including defining roles, permissions, and access controls.
- Proficient in scripting languages (Python, PowerShell or Bash) for automating security tasks and processes.
- Good understanding of cloud security principles, architecture, and best practices along with security compliance frameworks and industry regulations, such as HIPAA, PCI DSS, GDPR or SOC2.
- Strong understanding of network protocols, firewall configurations, and network security concepts.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and manage multiple priorities.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive cloud security strategy and framework, aligned with industry best practices and compliance requirements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams within Cloud Engineering to design and implement secure cloud architectures.
- Collaborate with Cyber Security team to address and mitigate security vulnerabilities identified as part of auditing and compliance requirements
- Integrate security practices to ensure secure coding practices are followed within Cloud Engineering teams (DevSuccess, SRE and DB Engg)
- Design and maintain access controls, authentication mechanisms, security policies, standards, and procedures for cloud-based systems and applications.
- Automate security processes and tasks using scripting languages, configuration management tools, and infrastructure-as-code (IaC) frameworks.
- Provide guidance and support to junior team members, promoting a culture of security awareness and best practices.
- Stay up to date with the latest cloud security best practices, industry trends and security features and services offered by major cloud providers (AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud). Should actively research and evaluate emerging security technologies and solutions to continuously improve the security posture of the cloud infrastructure.
