Interius BioTherapeutics Is Seeking a Research Assistant/Associate in Discovery

We are developing a novel bioplatform for targeted gene delivery that enables the right payload to be delivered to the right cells in vivo. As a recent graduate, you will bring your academic knowledge and experience to an R&D team that loves to mentor recent grads.

As a critical part of the team, you will be responsible for the design, cloning, production, and characterization of plasmids, as well as maintaining plasmid inventories and glycerol stocks, all while following research protocols and standard operating protocols (SOPs) with precision and consistency. You are comfortable with interactions at all levels in the organization, see yourself as a quick learner, detail-oriented, multi-tasker, self-reliant, problem-solving budding scientist with utmost integrity, and excellent interpersonal skills. Qualifications:


  • Bachelor’s degree in biology or a related discipline with 0-2 years of experience.
  • Experience with molecular biology workflows including plasmid DNA production and characterization utilizing PCR and cloning techniques
  • Experience with mammalian cell and tissue culture
  • Experience with virus production/purification and transfection/transduction is a plus
  • Experience with flow cytometry is a plus, other staining techniques a plus (e.g. tissue staining/IHC)
  • Desire to learn and contribute in a fast-paced, evolving environment
  • Self-directed and independent, but also able to effectively collaborate with the entire Interius team to achieve group and company goals
  • Able to establish and maintain effective working relationships with external and internal contacts
  • Excellent attention to detail, maintenance of records and organizational skills
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Vaccinated against SARS-CoV2 (with booster)
