This position requires 3 days a week in office at our headquarters in Santa Monica, CA. 


About the Role:


As we expand our micromobility programs, Veo regularly responds to City Requests for Proposals (RFPs), bids, and submits permit applications. As a Proposal Coordinator, you will work with the Proposal Manager in the Policy and Partnerships team and assist in all aspects of market entry strategy and proposal development, including developing work plans; cross-team coordination; writing and editing; and ensuring timely submission.

What we are looking for:


  • 1+ years of experience in proposal/permit writing, report writing, copy-writing/editing, and/or project management; with an undergraduate degree in urban planning, public administration, political science, or similar field.
  • A process-based thinker, who is conscientious and highly organized with excellent problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written, storytelling, and verbal communication skills and the ability to adapt to different communication styles are required as well as an ability to work calmly and efficiently in a high-pressure environment to produce quality, error-free work
  • Proven ability to lead collaboration efforts across teams
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented multi-tasker; deadline-driven
  • Independent self-starter with effective people and negotiation skills
  • Superb writing and editing skills
  •  Strong graphic design skills and familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite/InDesign preferred
  • Masters Degree relating to Urban/Transportation Planning or Policy is preferred

Responsibilities:


  • Create proposal work plans including go/no-go documents, compliance matrices, kick-off agendas, proposal outlines, and proposal calendars
  • Perform detailed analysis of internal and external RFQ/RFP/Permit documents and collaborate with members of Partnership team to ensure our offerings are up to date and competitive
  • Ensure proposals are compliant with each RFx including content and required forms
  • Work with Business Operations and Finance teams to ensure timely signature on required forms
  • Work with proposal manager to compile and write clear and compelling content and curate technical material from other teams; edit and supplement all written technical materials as needed
  • Constantly updating and refining based on internal and external analysis
  • Coordinate the design of high-quality visuals and narratives
  • Thrive in a fast-paced environment and effectively handle multiple time-sensitive requests

The base salary range for this full-time position is

$60,000 - $85,000
