Title: Cybersecurity Engineer (Container Hardening)
Location: San Antonio, TX Clearance: Top Secret (SCI eligibility)About this role:
- Rackner is seeking a Cybersecurity Engineer who will actively manage the system as well as provide continuous monitoring of the live cyber environment.
- Provide superior technical customer service and will assess security vulnerabilities from either a physical or cyber perspective.
- As a technical expert, will plan and and lead major technology initiatives, evaluate performance results and recommend changes for growth and success.
- May also lead other team members by applying a comprehensive knowledge across key tasks and critical projects.
- Works with the Pipeline Architect and Software Engineering SMEs to ensure that DoD IA thresholds are met and built into pipeline tooling and configuration.
We are seeking professionals with:
- BS in Engineering, Computer Science, or technical degree or industry experience equivalent
- DoDI 8140 IAT Level II or higher (e.g., CompTIA Security+ or greater)
- Hands-on experience in Risk Management Framework(RMF) security assessments
- Demonstrated cybersecurity experience with Linux operating systems
- Experience with Cloud(e.g. AWS, Azure, etc.)
- 2+ years experience with container technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes
- XACTA and EMASS experience
- Specific knowledge of NIST RMF 800-53 controls
What will make you successful:
- Ability to demonstrate an advanced understanding in agile and DevSecOps methodologies
- Experienced in software security testing, especially with containerized applications
- Understands physical security threats and countermeasures
- Knowledge and hands-on experience in developing and implementing security into infrastructure, platforms and software
- Experience running red team/blue team security games and analysis
- Solid understanding of live monitoring of cyber environment for potential attacks, vulnerabilities and log analysis
- Developed cybersecurity architecture with the ability to adapt quickly to evolving
Nice to have:
- M.S.; Computer Science or Engineering field
- Experience hardening Kubernetes and containers a plus
- CISSP
- Providing technical guidance to junior team members
- Leading a technical team
- Local to San Antonio, TX
