Job Summary: The Marketing & Events Coordinator will support & lead initiatives that drive Saxbys’ brand awareness on new & existing college campuses. This role is responsible for creative assets for both in-cafe marketing and social media. This position will have the opportunity to leverage their impressive portfolio of photography & graphic design to drive creative work of a dynamic brand poised for dramatic growth.
What You Will Own
- Grand Opening Events: Execute grand opening events to maximize profitability, strengthen relationships with partners, and provide a first impression that creates raving guests. In collaboration with the team and the university, create and execute a comprehensive communications plan that benefits all parties. Facilitate and schedule partnership announcements & photoshoots. Create digital and print materials for activations, in-cafe and campus signage, and any other assets that support a successful launch event.
- Creative Execution: Responsible for implementing Senior Creative Manager’s direction and strategy across cafe and brand touchpoints. Create, curate, and post social media content based on the provided strategy and in line with the content calendar. Develop campaign newsletters to engage email subscribers and drive sales.
- SVP of Campus Marketing Program: Oversee and ensure the success of this program, communicating opportunities to each SVP and connecting them with needed resources. Produce, order, and provide tabling kits for events. Work with the Student VP of Campus Marketing on each new partner campus to drive brand awareness and generate excitement across campus pre and post Grand Opening.
- Asset Management: Maintain the Digital Asset Directory; including but not limited to master cafe directory photography, product & lifestyle photography, evergreen brand assets, and periodic campaign assets to be used by internal & external partners.
- Assigned Student CEO Marketing Plans: Serve as a Marketing Consultant for an assigned group of Student CEOs to ensure they have an effective campus marketing plan that is aligned with the budget. Create required assets for campaigns and events.
Who You Will Support
- Senior Creative Manager: Support efforts of the team to be ‘the’ brand representative that builds key university relationships that will ensure Saxbys become a cornerstone on campus from Day 1. Support development of creative visual materials surrounding assets such as social content, in-cafe signage, campaign videos, app items, newsletters, promo cards, etc. based on the overall creative concept. Oversee daily tasks connected to creative production such as pre-production prep, casting assistance, prop sourcing, and post-production refinement.
- Recruiting: Collaborate with to support brand awareness and initiatives to boost the candidate pipeline.

- 100% of SVP of Campus Marketing goals are met on 100% of Saxbys Campuses, correlating to positive year over year sales across system
- 10 campus placements prior to and during each Grand Opening Event
- At least 250 new Instagram followers on day of Grand Opening Event
- Meet 100% of deadlines for new signage installed with each campaign

What You Have Done
- 1-3 years of relevant experience of event planning/coordination
- 1-3 years of relevant creative experience including graphic design, photography & social media
- Able to confidently deal with people (internal and external) and resolve issues diplomatically
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with examples including: impeccable writing and editing skills, the ability to distill complex topics into simple messages alongside a sharp eye for detail, the ability to create a narrative, the ability to communicate and present a compelling story
- Proven success with excellent project management skills with demonstrated ability to deliver multiples projects on time while maintaining high standards
- Demonstrated proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite
- Demonstrated proficiency with photography & graphic design
- Developed a stunning design portfolio that showcases your creative ability
What is Required
- Support, exhibit, and promote Saxbys Mission and Core Values in all daily activities.
- Up to 50% travel including overnight stays and solo travel
- Valid driver's license if required to drive
