This position has an expectation of at least three days per week in office. Initially, you will be the sole member of the finance and accounting group, but will have the leaders of the HR, IT, and office functions as direct reports. As Frogslayer grows, you will be responsible for building teams within the finance and accounting functions. We need an experienced professional who is strong in financial planning and analysis, project accounting, and partnering with the business’ non-financial department leaders. This person will be a valued member of our management team, providing data and analysis to support critical decision-making in real time.

What You’ll Do (Maintain / Iterate):
- Manage all accounting and financial reporting systems in compliance with GAAP and regulatory requirements.
- Execute month-end and year-end financial close (and related reporting).
- Perform daily accounting activities to ensure accurate and timely processing of accounts receivable, revenue recognition, accounts payable, purchasing/expenses, reimbursements, payroll processing, payroll tax compliance, and federal tax compliance and preparation.
- Partner with Client Services team for client invoicing and project-level accounting.
- Partner with CEO and others on annual, quarterly, and monthly budgeting and reporting.
- Analyze and provide insight on monthly, quarterly, and annual variances within the income statement, balance sheet, and statement of cash flow.
- Coordinate annual financial audit activity.
- Enhance, document, and maintain internal controls and safeguards for receipt of revenue, program/department budgets, and actual expenditures.
- Perform monthly bank and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Manage the leaders of the HR, IT, and office functions (support their efforts, hold them accountable to function-specific goals, etc.).
What You’ll Do (Build-Out / Own):
- Expand upon the company’s P&L by project and by person reporting to provide detailed weekly insights on performance.
- Identify, shape, and track critical KPIs.
- Draft and consistently circulate reporting tailored to the needs of key stakeholders (management team, board, banks, etc.).
- Create and manage dynamic forecasting / modeling tools to inform strategic decision-making (prioritization of growth expenditures, headcount optimization, client pricing strategies, margin targets, use of cash on hand vs. debt, working capital management, etc.).
- Explore how financial software/AI subscription products could be incorporated into the company’s processes.
- As the company grows, hire direct reports to streamline processes and add value to the finance/accounting organization.

What You'll Bring:
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or related business field required, CPA a plus.
- 5-8 years of progressive finance and accounting experience with an increasing amount of responsibility.
- Flexibility and ability to lead and adapt to change with ease.
