Applicants can use their car to access lower rates, higher loan amounts, and a monthly payment that fits their budget. The Lead Software Engineer will play a pivotal role in steering the Vehicle Equity Loan development team towards achieving key milestones and delivering impactful features. Through a blend of strategic influence, innovative thought leadership, and hands-on technical expertise, you will spearhead the creation and enhancement of user-facing interfaces and backend systems essential for processing Vehicle Equity Loan applications.As the leader of a talented team of software engineers, your responsibilities will include overseeing the end-to-end development lifecycle, from ideation to deployment. Collaborating closely with Product Managers and various cross-functional stakeholders, you will wield your expertise to shape and drive the product roadmap. Your keen eye for prioritization and project management will ensure that actionable tasks are effectively managed, and milestones are met within established timelines.Reporting to the Principal Engineer of Loan Products, you will serve as a linchpin within the Business Lines Engineering Leadership team. Your role extends beyond team leadership, as you actively contribute to setting technical standards and influencing the direction of adjacent teams.You: You are passionate about crafting exceptional user experiences and recognize that they stem from continuous refinement across both frontend and backend elements of applications.

Requirements - Experience
- 2+ years’ experience as a lead software engineer
- 5+ years’ experience as a software engineer
- High proficiency in modern programming languages and frameworks, with strong expertise in at least one - Python, JavaScript, or C# preferred
- Proven track record of working with Product, Design, and other engineering teams to understand the scope of a project and break down work for your team while guiding them through execution
- Command of Continuous Integration, Continuous Deployment, and Test Automation constructs and procedures for single-page apps
- Strong understanding of web architecture fundamentals, infrastructure, CDNs, networking, etc
- Experience with cloud providers. AWS Preferred. Serverless/CloudFormation experience is a plus
- Experience with application performance instrumentation and analytics techniques
- Experience building and optimizing user acquisition funnels is a plus
- Experience in the financial services industry is a plus

$140,000 - $185,000 a yearIn addition to semi-monthly salary payments, this position is also eligible for an annual incentive bonus based on individual and company performance. Yearly incentive bonus target 25% of base salary.
