Sr Software Developer (Backend_ Enhanced Content)
Syndigo enables commerce by supporting the efficient transfer of product information through its network of brands and their customers. The company provides descriptive product and nutritional information, images and other digital media, powered by deep analytics to empower engaging brand experiences online and in store. Through Syndigo’s integrated platform, Content Experience Hub, clients can publish, manage, syndicate and audit product content across the largest trading network of brands and recipients in the world.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Design, Develop, and test highly scalable software applications applying software best practices and architectural guidance from within the organization.
- Must understand popular object orientated programming (OOP) design patterns in C#.
- Must be able to describe algorithm time/space complexity.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues within a diverse distributed system built with C# .NET 7 microservices, Angular 15, and Azure Cloud Technologies.
- Review code change requests to ensure correctness, maintainability, and adherence to Syndigo best practices.
- Execute tasks fulling requirements from conception to implementation within agreed upon Sprint cycle.
- Collaborate with peers, product, architecture, and quality assurance teams on requirements, implementation details, user experience, operations, and automation.
- Lead technical discussions with peers to agree on design of new software or fixes to existing software.
- Document designs and subsystems for rapid onboarding by team members.
- Define implementation plans to be executed by self and/or with multiple team members.
- Write unit tests that prove the target functionality of code changes without regression.
- Agile software development using Jira/Confluence.
Technical Skill and Experience:
- 5-8 years of experience in designing and developing software using relevant technologies.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Required:
- 5-8 years of professional experience C#.
- 3+ years of professional experience using REST based HTTP APIs.
- Experience with JavaScript (1+ years).
- Experience with Git version control (1+ years).
- Strong analytic and problem-solving skills.
- Plus:
- Experience with Microsoft Azure DevOps.
- Experience making sites accessible (WCAG).
- Knowledge of e-commerce platforms.
- Knowledge of image and video encoding technologies.
- Knowledge of analytics/reporting.
- Knowledge of backend technologies.
