YOUR ROLE
We’re hiring a bright cross-channel Media Planner to manage day-to-day planning responsibilities for our New York office. The role covers media planning and buying from A to Z. This position is based in our New York office. We offer a hybrid work setting with working onsite in our NYC office and flexibility to work from home.
- Target analysis
- Plan development
- Client management
- Media partner negotiations
- Program execution & optimization
- Championing integration and strategy
Media Plan development, both strategy and tactical approach. Cross-channel knowledge and understanding of each channel (Traditional, Social, Sem, Display/Programmatic) and as part of a media plan.
- Experience in working with both traditional and digital media channels.
- Working on brands that target both local and national is ideal.
- Strategic thinking. Coming prepared with solutions to address client and team needs
- Measurement: should understand what different forms of measurement are available and how to determine which is the best solution for a client
- Client contact on a day-to-day basis. Handling inquiries, sharing points of view, and participating in formal presentations
- Vendor experience with RFP process and negotiation
- Work with billing/client accounting team on monthly billing
- Weekly campaign recaps and monthly reporting and optimization recommendations
- Training Assistants – mentor and partake in your assistant’s development.
- Detail Oriented – turning over accurate and complete work.
- Be proactive/take initiative. Lead the planning/partner selection with supervision
- Tools: Strata and Adazzle, Nielsen, Kantar, MRI, Simmons, Telmar, YouGov, Datorama.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s Degree
- 2- 3 years of experience in media planning, preferably at an ad agency
- Ability to juggle multiple client projects and responsibilities and meet deadline
- Attention to detail and organizational skills while working in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent analytical and math skills
- A love for working with numbers and data
- Capable of working independently and managing projects from start to finish
- Takes initiative in acquiring new skills and taking on a workload
- Must exhibit professionalism and confidence in working with vendors, team members and client
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel is a must.
The salary range is 60-75k, commensurate with experience. Compensation will be determined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position.
