As an Accounts Payable Contractor, you will be an essential member of the accounting team. This position requires someone with meticulous attention to detail, the highest ethical standards, and the ability to clearly communicate and collaborate across multiple departments. This role requires a solid foundation in all things related to accounts payable and a passion for continuous improvement. The ideal candidate will have the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment; work effectively within cross-functional teams; be highly resourceful and deliver under tight deadlines.
You will
- Partner with our senior accountant to own all aspects of accounts payable, including processing, verifying, and reconciling invoices and initiating vendor payments
- Record and reconcile Company cash transactions into the general ledger
- Monthly bank reconciliations to identify discrepancies and resolutions
- Perform regular analysis and reconciliations of Account Payable ledger balances
- Assist in performing a timely and accurate month-end close
- Ad hoc tasks as needed
You have
- Prior Accounts Payable experience
- Understanding of booking accounting entries including debits and credits as it relates to cash
- Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills
Nice to have
- Bachelor’s (B.A. / B.S.) in accounting, finance, or other related discipline
- Understanding of accounting standards (U.S. GAAP)
- Experience with AvidXchange
- Experience using Netsuite
