The Vice President of Marketing will lead Viamericas marketing strategy and initiatives, driving brand awareness, customer acquisition, and revenue growth. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of developing and executing successful marketing campaigns geared toward the Latin American community, a deep understanding of the financial services industry, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer experiences. Additionally, individuals should have direct to consumer online marketing and social media marketing experience.

The incumbent will be instrumental in driving customer growth, optimizing marketing strategies, and leading a team towards achieving key performance indicators.

Duties and Responsabilities


  • Develop and implement comprehensive marketing strategies to drive brand awareness, customer acquisition, and revenue growth.
  • Lead and mentor a team of marketing professionals, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and accountability.
  • Oversee all aspects of marketing, including branding, advertising, digital marketing, social media, content creation, campaigns performance and public relations to enhance customer acquisition.
  • Analyze market trends, customer insights, and competitive intelligence to identify opportunities and inform marketing strategies to differentiate Viamericas in the market.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with product development, regional managers, business development executives, and customer service teams to align marketing initiatives with business objectives and customer needs.
  • Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of marketing campaigns and initiatives and drive continuous improvement.
  • Manage marketing budgets, allocate resources effectively, and optimize return on investment (ROI) for marketing spend.
  • Stay abreast of industry developments, emerging trends, and best practices in marketing and fintech to drive innovation and maintain competitive advantage.
  • Oversee business intelligence strategy, to include segmentation, competitive analysis/market intelligence, product and market development, pricing, promotions, communications and budgets, sales force effectiveness, strategic planning, services units and revenue retention and growth.
  • Guide the leading efforts to enhance company branding and communications through point-of-sale material and agent communications platforms.
  • Ensure all activities align with the company’s goals. 

Qualifications


  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in marketing, with at least 7 years in a leadership role. Proven track record of developing and executing successful marketing strategies that drive business results.
  • Deep understanding of the financial services industry, particularly money transfer and remittance services.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams to achieve goals and objectives.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strategic thinker with a data-driven and analytical mindset, capable of translating insights into actionable strategies and initiatives.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with the ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities and business needs.
  • Results-oriented mindset with a focus on driving continuous improvement and delivering measurable outcomes.
  • Superior project, time, and organizational management skills • Flexibility with changes in task and priorities along with using sound judgment.
  • Able to multitask and manage multiple projects while meeting deadlines.
  • Innovation and creativity to create brand strategies that attract customers.
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of current trends in social media and digital media.
  • Experienced with MS Office and donor management systems.
  • Must be bilingual English and Spanish. 

Working Conditions


  • The person in this role will work remotely or hybrid depending on their location. General office working conditions, frequent travel (foreign and domestic) is required.
