Job Title: Catalog Content Specialist

Salary:

Position Summary:


As a Catalog Content Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in curating and maintaining accurate, engaging, and informative product content for our company’s catalog. You will collaborate closely with various teams to ensure that product information is consistently updated, optimized for searchability, and aligned with brand standards. This role requires meticulous attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and a passion for delivering high-quality content that enhances the customer experience.

What you’ll do:


  • Content Curation: Curate and manage product content for the company’s catalog, including product descriptions, specifications, images, and other relevant information.
  • Content Optimization: Ensure that product content is optimized for search engines (SEO), keywords, and user experience, adhering to best practices for online visibility and discoverability.
  • Data Integrity: Maintain the accuracy and integrity of product data by conducting regular audits, updates, and corrections as needed.
  • Quality Assurance: Review and edit product content to ensure consistency, clarity, and adherence to brand guidelines, grammar rules, and editorial standards.
  • Content Enrichment: Identify opportunities to enhance product content with additional details, features, benefits, and multimedia assets to improve the customer shopping experience.
  • Content Localization: Assist with the localization of product content for different markets, languages, and regions, ensuring cultural relevance and linguistic accuracy.
  • Content Management System (CMS): Utilize content management systems and product information management (PIM) tools to input, organize, and maintain product content efficiently.
  • Performance Analysis: Monitor the performance of product content using analytics tools and metrics to track engagement, conversion rates, and other key performance indicators (KPIs).

  • What you’ll need:


    • Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Marketing, or related field, or equivalent experience.
    • Proven experience in content management or digital content creation, preferably in an e-commerce or retail environment.
    • Excellent writing and editing skills, with a keen eye for detail and proficiency in grammar, punctuation, and style.
    • Familiarity with content management systems (CMS) and product information management (PIM) tools.
    • Experience with Channel Advisor and/or Seller Cloud preferred
    • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
    • Creative mindset with the ability to generate engaging and persuasive product content.
    • Collaboration and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively across departments and teams.
    • Adaptability and willingness to learn new tools, technologies, and processes.
    • Passion for delivering exceptional customer experiences through high-quality content.
