Position Overview:
TGG is in search of an Accounting Manager in the real estate industry that will play a critical role in overseeing financial operations, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and providing strategic financial guidance. With a CPA qualification, the Accounting Manager is expected to possess advanced knowledge of accounting principles and regulations, specifically tailored to the complexities of real estate transactions. This role requires strong leadership skills, analytical prowess, and the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.Key Responsibilities:Financial Reporting:

  • Prepare and review financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and relevant regulatory requirements.
  • Provide timely and insightful analysis of financial performance to support decision-making processes.
  • Develop and maintain financial reporting policies and procedures to enhance efficiency and transparency.

Budgeting and Forecasting:

  • Collaborate with senior management to develop annual budgets and long-term financial forecasts.
  • Monitor actual financial performance against budgeted targets, investigating variances and recommending corrective actions as necessary.
  • Assess the financial implications of strategic initiatives and investment opportunities, providing recommendations to optimize financial outcomes.

Financial Compliance:

  • Ensure compliance with all applicable accounting standards, regulations, and tax laws related to real estate transactions.
  • Oversee the preparation of tax returns, working closely with external tax advisors to minimize tax liabilities and maximize incentives.
  • Coordinate audits and reviews by external auditors, providing necessary documentation and support to ensure successful outcomes.

Cash Management and Treasury:

  • Manage cash flow and liquidity to meet operational requirements and optimize investment returns.
  • Establish and maintain banking relationships, negotiating terms and fees to minimize costs and maximize services.
  • Develop and implement cash management strategies to mitigate financial risks and enhance overall liquidity management.

Team Leadership and Development:

  • Supervise and mentor accounting staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional development.
  • Provide guidance and support on complex accounting issues, leveraging expertise and experience to resolve challenges effectively.
  • Foster collaboration and communication within the finance team and across departments to achieve common goals and objectives.

Qualifications:

  • CPA (Certified Public Accountant) qualification is required.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; Master's degree or MBA preferred.
  • Minimum of [X] years of progressive accounting experience in the real estate industry, with demonstrated leadership capabilities.
  • In-depth knowledge of accounting principles, standards, and regulations relevant to real estate transactions (e.g., ASC 842, IFRS 16).
  • Proficiency in financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting techniques.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate complex financial concepts effectively to diverse stakeholders.
  • Experience with real estate-specific software (e.g., Yardi, MRI) is a plus.
