What you will do:


As a Senior Product Analyst, you'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to discover user insights and usage behaviour of our products and work on strategic explorations and research projects to highlight opportunities for improvement and innovation (e.g. user segmentation, retention analysis, click streams, funnels).You will report directly to the Director of Data R&D (engineering team) and you will work closely with Product Managers and User Researchers to define relevant metrics and KPIs and help them to interpret these in the correct way.

You will also collaborate with the Analytics Engineering team to move your projects from the “proof of concept” phase to production.Additionally, you'll help establish the relatively new discipline of Product Analytics within Lighthouse and collaborate with the Research team on setting up and governing our Product Analytics tool. You'll have a large influence on the future of our products by creating actionable insights, triangulating your data, and actively advising and collaborating with product teams and leadership. 

Where you will have impact:


  • Having a good overview and setting direction of the usage tracking across our Lighthouse product portfolio to provide actionable insights for product development and user experience improvement.
  • Working closely with Product Managers to define relevant metrics and KPIs that accurately measure the impact of new product releases and improvements. You will also challenge, coach, and advise Product Managers on relevant metrics and how to interpret them.
  • Collaborating with the Research team to incorporate Product Analytics in the research plan of their roadmap initiatives.
  • Collaborating with Analytics Engineering to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
  • Setting up and maintaining the framework for self-service analytics to enable the Product team to access and utilise data insights effectively, while also fostering their data maturity through education and playbook creation.
  • Conducting in-depth analysis of large datasets to understand what makes our product lovable, what causes customers to stick, and what makes them more engaged.
  • Developing and maintaining dashboards, reports, and visualisations to communicate findings and monitor product performance across various KPIs. You will present crucial data points and meaningful insights for the product team to facilitate effective decision-making.
  • Uncovering user segments, their characteristics and drivers. Designing and running experiments such as A/B tests at scale, measuring their results, and providing business recommendations, continuously improving our experimentation capability and culture.
  • Championing a data-driven culture within the team and organisation, acting as an evangelist for the importance of data insights to inform decisions and prioritise initiatives.

About our team


The Lighthouse Data R&D team is a team within our wider engineering team. Its mission is maximise the power of data to support innovation in Lighthouse products and create a data driven culture in the industry. The team works in close collaboration with our Product team, as well as a highly talented group of software engineers, devops engineers, and project managers to drive initiatives forward. Today we process billions of data points and +100TB of data on a daily basis, containing hotels' pricing information, search data, hotel bookings, etc.

All of that using modern technologies. Being a growth company enables us to regularly attract new and interesting datasets, which can unlock new product directions.

Who you are:


  • 5+ years of relevant product analytics experience, preferably in B2B/B2C SaaS or enterprise software
  • Proven track record in setting up and improving usage tracking with cross-functional teams
  • Ability to present concrete examples of analytics skills and transparently illustrate their impact on business, while also crafting compelling stories with data that drive change among teams and stakeholders.
  • Experience with product analytics tools (e.g. Mixpanel, Pendo, Amplitude, Heap...)
  • Outstanding SQL skills
  • Possess a deep understanding of quantitative analysis and a passion for understanding user behaviour to provide insights to improve user experience, as well as the ability to contribute to product strategy and think strategically
  • Experience in designing and executing A/B tests and experiments, leading experimentation with applied statistics, design, and analysis of experiments, and providing recommendations with advanced knowledge of statistics.
  • A data-driven mindset with the ability to champion a data-driven culture within the organisation
  • Ability to adeptly manage stakeholders, apply critical thinking, embrace constructive feedback, and confidently express opinions. You’re proactive and self-motivated, and will take initiative and follow through to completion.
  • Excellent communication skills, including fluency in both written and spoken English.
