Our mission-driven team is seeking a bold and dynamic Assembly, Integration, & Test (AI&T) Project Engineer who is fueled by problem-solving, continuous curiosity, and a drive to understand our world, science/technology, and life itself, for the benefit of all on Earth and beyond. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Leads and/or facilitates all phases of an AI&T project – research, design, procurement, production sequencing, and production of spacecraft components.
- Works closely with space craft designers to ensure hardware is assembled, integrated, tested, and ready for space flight.
- Develops, tracks, and manages project forecast, scope, risks, and schedule for all projects assigned.
- Responsible for internal collaboration, review, and integration of project development with all stakeholders.
- Review plans, inspects fabrications, conducts investigations, and provides recommendations as necessary to assure compliance with aerospace established requirements, regulations, guidelines, and procedures.
- Facilitates and/or coordinates all meetings with project teams – design/test teams, contractors, legal counsel, procurement, quality, safety, etc.
- Tracks, updates and provide recommendations for change orders.
- Monitors/reports/makes recommendations for ongoing development projects.
- Identification, management and communication of project and program-related risks.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

- Bachelor’s degree in engineering (mechanical, aerospace, or systems engineering preferred).
- Master’s degree in STEM, a plus.
- 10+ years’ experience leading mid/large-scale engineering or production projects; leading aerospace projects, a plus.
- Must show a proficiency in technical writing through previous experience in producing testing plans, final reports, process instructions, or other equivalent activities.
- Experience with SolidWorks 3D modeling software, a plus.
- Experience and interest in problem solving, improving processes, and developing production sequencing.
- Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or higher, a plus.
- Experience delivering projects using Agile/Scrum methodologies, preferred.
- Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), a plus
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification, a plus.
Essential FunctionsWork Environment: Initially, an office environment, but will evolve to working in a spacecraft production facility.Requirements
- Must be able to complete a U.S. government background investigation.
- Management has the prerogative to select at any level for which the position is advertised.
- Proof of U.S. Citizenship or US Permanent Residency is a requirement for this position.
