The role requires organization, time management, and communication skills. The internship will be onsite at Axiom Space in Houston, Texas from September 16 to November 22. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assists the team for the design and development of special purpose space vehicles and satellites including structural components of aeronautical or aerospace products, or systems hardware or avionics systems
- Assists the team for the design and development of analytical programs concerned with ground or flight testing, or development of thermodynamics, avionics, software, power, or propulsion systems
- Assists the team in all areas of engineering including, but not limited to aerospace, electrical, mechanical, industrial, robotics, and systems engineering
- Assists the team with computer-aided design (CAD)
- Assists the team in areas of specialty engineering including, but not limited to materials, processes, computational fluid dynamics, acoustics, and additive manufacturing
- Assists the team in conducting experimental, environmental, operational, or tests on models or prototypes or aerospace systems or equipment
- Observes and participates in testing of models, prototypes, subassemblies, or production vehicles to study and evaluate operational characteristics and effects imposed during actual or simulated flight and space conditions
- Other duties as assigned

- Rising Junior or Senior or Advanced Degree (MS/MA or Ph.D)
- Cumulative GPA 3.0 or higher

- Must be able to complete a U.S. government background investigation.
