Position Overview:
The QA Lead is responsible for ensuring that the product developed meets specified requirements and is of the highest quality before it is delivered to the customer. The QA Lead will manage a team of QA analysts and testers, work closely with the customer, and product development teams, and lead the testing phase of the software development life cycle.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategy & Planning:Develop and establish quality assurance measures and testing standards for new applications, products, and/or enhancements to existing applications throughout their development/product life cycles.Design, establish, and maintain an efficient and effective quality assurance process that aligns with the software development process.
Team Leadership:Manage, lead, and mentor a team of QA analysts and testers.Plan and delegate tasks, track progress, and ensure deadlines are met.
Test Management:Oversee the creation and execution of test plans, test cases, and test scripts.Ensure that testing activities allow applications to meet business requirements and systems goals, fulfill end-user requirements, and identify existing or potential issues.
Collaboration:Collaborate with Customer and product developers to ensure efficient bug tracking, resolution, and validation.Coordinate with product management and software and support engineers to deliver stable enterprise software products.
Continuous Improvement:Review and analyze the effectiveness and efficiency of existing systems and develop strategies for improving or further leveraging the systems.Promote continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the quality of products and services.
Documentation & Reporting:Create detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases.Document, track, and escalate issues as appropriate, using available tools.Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Five (5) years of experience as Testing/Quality Assurance Lead working on large and highly technical projects
- Eight (8) years of experience in general test management, including planning, designing, developing, and executing test plans based on business requirements and functional specifications, test cases, test scenarios, and test procedures, and conducting end-to-end system integration testing, including both performance and volume testing
- Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
- Three (3) years of experience usingfunctional, performance and automation testing tools
- Five (5) years of experience in a leadership role managing large test teams to successfully develop, track, and implement effective testing strategies, methodologies, processes, standards, and deliverables in a transaction processing environment for a large IT system
- Solid understanding of the agile software development life cycle and JIRA tool
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent customer interfacing, communication and collaboration abilities.
- Ability to manage and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Desirable:
- Certifications in Quality Assurance or relevant field - ISTQB or Quality Assurance Certified Agile Tester.
- Experience in working in Cloud or Modernization project
