This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment, collaborating with colleagues and clients, and supporting our litigation and bond administration advisory services. The Senior Associate III will provide research, data management, and data provisioning support on a variety of projects. Seeking a fast learner with the ability to pick up new tools and concepts quickly. This is a fully remote role.
Responsibilities:
- Develop both production-level and ad-hoc technical solutions for data analysis, simulation, scraping, and warehousing to support mortgage risk analytics projects.
- Utilize and enhance existing Oakleaf products and tools (such as ETL, data scraping, damage calculations, etc.).
- Collaborate with internal and external users/clients to analyze business requirements and convert requirements to technical solutions.
- Support and contribute to external business analytics projects and processes to provide data-driven insights used to advise the client and develop strategies for operational improvements and future business initiatives.
- Use statistical methods, modeling, analytical methodologies, and data analysis to develop and deploy tools including dashboards, infographics, reports, and models to inform and support decision-making.
- Mine, process, and analyze internal and external data using KPIs, business results, industry sources, competitor intelligence, and customer information.
- Develop a good understanding of the business's model, objectives, issues, and challenges by interacting and collaborating with users and stakeholders.
- Contribute to cloud application development efforts, including designing, coding, testing, and deploying applications on cloud platforms.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Advanced Degree in computer science, information systems, or relevant analytical / engineering disciplines.
- 7+ years of quantitative analysis and software development experience in the financial services industry, preferably in a consulting environment.
- Strong, well-rounded Python skills to develop production-level data processing tools and analytics platforms.
- Strong SQL programming skills.
- Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
- Nice-to-have skills: Java, C++, SAS, R, VBA, and/or Big Data experience.
- Experience with cloud application development, including deploying applications on cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
- Ability and initiative to work independently and on a team to meet project goals.
- Understanding of mortgage loan data, particularly loan performance and mortgage servicing data.
- Familiarity with statistical methods, modeling, and analytical methodologies.
- This is a remote position and requires the ability to work in a home office environment with the ability to work effectively surrounded by moderate home environment noise.
