Title: Systems Engineer

- Rackner is seeking a Systems Engineers that will play a pivotal role in designing, implementing, and maintaining the IT infrastructure of organizations
- Will be responsible for ensuring the efficiency, reliability, and security of systems to support business operations
We are seeking professionals with:
- 5+ years; Systems engineering or a related role
- IT systems, including servers, networks, storage, and virtualization
- System design, implementation, and troubleshooting
- Security standards and practices, such as NIST, ISO, and CIS
What will make you successful:
- System Design and Implementation: Design and implement IT systems and solutions, ensuring they meet the organization's needs and align with industry best practices. This includes hardware, software, networks, and security systems.
- Infrastructure Management: Manage and maintain server infrastructure, storage systems, networking equipment, and virtualization platforms. Ensure systems are optimized for performance, reliability, and scalability.
- Security Compliance: Ensure systems and infrastructure comply with security standards, policies, and regulations. Implement security controls, conduct risk assessments, and respond to security incidents.
- Troubleshooting and Support: Provide technical support and troubleshooting for system-related issues. Collaborate with other IT teams to resolve complex problems and minimize downtime.
- Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate documentation of system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps. Generate reports on system performance, capacity, and security posture.
- Project Management: Lead or contribute to IT projects, from planning and design to implementation and evaluation. Coordinate with stakeholders, vendors, and other teams to ensure project success.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on emerging technologies, trends, and best practices in systems engineering. Identify opportunities for process improvement and innovation.
Nice to Have:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field preferred
- Relevant certifications
