ARETUM, a leading government contracting company specializing in technology-enabled mission support services, is seeking a talented and experienced Senior Software Development Engineer to join our team. As a Senior Software Development Engineer at ARETUM, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing software solutions for our federal clients.ARETUM is known for providing cutting-edge solutions and outstanding service to Federal clients in various sectors, including Next Generation Analytics, Engineering Services, Training Services, IT Systems, Cyber Security, PMO Support, and Financial Consulting.

Responsibilities
- Hands-on Full-Stack Developer responsible for both back-end and front-end development, including creating WordPress themes and plugins.
- Improve applications’ stability and maintainability by leveraging the capabilities of emerging technologies; also meet business goals and operational requirements.
- Providing technical expertise to the application development team
- Performing design and code reviews
- Collaborating with other stakeholders to ensure the architecture is aligned with business requirements.
- Code and design working solutions and troubleshoot system issues.
- Analysis, design, build and implementation of end-to-end solution delivery.
- Experienced PHP, JavaScript and CSS developer who understands application design, development, testing, deployment, and operations in WordPress environment.
- Ability and experience in creating applications from scratch and provide support to the existing systems as needed.
- Proven experience in designing, developing, testing, and maintaining large multi-tiered applications preferably in the federal government setting.
- Ensure UI meets Section 508/WCAG 2.0 Success Criteria at AA level.
Requirements
- Must be a U.S. Citizen
- An active Secret clearance is preferred. At minimum, must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance.
- Must have a CompTIA Security+ certification.
- Must have ten (10) years of experience in Software Development (PHP and WordPress required)
- Three (3) of the ten (10) years must have direct experience using web-based technologies (PHP, HTML5, JavaScript, CSS3)
- Ability to work with limited guidance in a remote team environment.
- Solid understanding of Section 508/WCAG 2.X compliance requirements
