The Role


Metropolis is looking for a Senior Director of Business Development to drive the efficiency and effectiveness of the sales organization. You will hold a player/coach role while managing a team of 4-5 business development/sales team members to build and maintain strong relations with senior executives at enterprise and medium-sized businesses, to meet or exceed monthly sales targets. Reporting directly to Senior Vice President of Sales, the right candidate will be an experienced business development/sales professional adaptable at driving revenue growth across regional markets.

You will be responsible for implementing scalable sales processes from prospecting to contract execution. 

Responsibilities:


  • Develop comprehensive business development strategies aligned with Metropolis’ goals and objectives. This involves analyzing market trends, identifying growth opportunities, and formulating strategic plans to capitalize on them.
  • Lead efforts to identify, pursue, and secure new business opportunities at enterprise and medium-sized businesses. This involves prospecting, lead generation, and proactive outreach to target clients or customers.
  • Effectively represent Metropolis in high stakes situations with customers and the public.
  • Lead client presentations, including discovery sessions, product demonstrations, and proposals.
  • Ability to hire, train, and lead high-performing business development/sales directors/managers to actively close deals while utilizing a coach/player approach. 
  • Utilize CRM data to forecast, manage sales activities, and drive pipeline to meet revenue targets.
  • Collaborate with internal product teams and provide feedback for future development. 
  • Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities and requirements.
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, Marketing, or related field (master's degree preferred).
  • Proven track record of success in business development, with at least 10 years of experience in a senior leadership role.
  • Strong strategic planning and analytical skills, with the ability to translate insights into actionable strategies.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build rapport and influence key stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated leadership ability, with experience leading and motivating teams to achieve results.
  • Experience in commercial real estate or parking is preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and CRM software.

The anticipated base salary for this position is $140,000.00 to 190,000.00 annually. The actual base pay offered is determined by a number of variables, including, as appropriate, the applicant's qualifications for the position, years of relevant experience, distinctive skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location of residence and/or place of employment.

Base pay is one component of Metropolis’s total compensation package, which may also include access to or eligibility for healthcare benefits, a 401(k) plan, short-term and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, a lucrative commission plan and more. #LI-DL1 #LI-H
