POSITION SUMMARY:
We are currently seeking a proactive and experienced Assistant Print Shop Manager who can work under the general direction of the Shop Manager. The incumbent assists the Shop Manager in overseeing all aspects of the designated print shop.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Partners with shop and remote leadership to provide administrative and managerial support for the designated shopAssists Shop Manager in organizing the shop workforce during regular hours or in an extra hours situationMonitors jobs in production and communicates with production and graphics specialists any special instructions, proofs, and shipping infoContacts clients with questions on specifications and/or questions regarding print job submittedEnsures all project deadlines are met and associated cost budgets are adhered toTrains shop staff on proper production procedures and techniquesEnsures that equipment is being properly maintained and upgraded. Recommends new acquisitions that will increases productivityManages inventory and organization of supplies Resolves all customer escalations in a professional mannerFills in for various departments as needed.Other duties as assignedEDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS REQUIRED:
High school diploma or equivalentAt least 3 – 5 years experience in a related fieldLarge Format Printing experience Strong leadership ability to motivate employeesSuperior customer service ability and experience in working with customers both over the phone and in personAbility to communicate effectively with employees when delegating work and explaining procedures and processesExpert knowledge of equipment and materialsAbility to speak knowledgeably about department capability and company to potential and existing clientsHighly developed organizational abilityAbility to handle multiple tasks without losing focus
