The Role


At SellerX we are growing our Quality Management team and now we are looking for a Product Compliance Engineer to join our team. In this role you will understand product safety, compliance and regulatory requirements for consumer products. Sounds exciting? Apply today!

Your Responsibilities in Detail


  • Develop a compliance test plan for new and existing products to ensure product compliance requirements are met on a global scale (EU, UK, US, CA)
  • Review documents provided from suppliers / and or 3rd party partners and determine acceptance within the SX processes.
  • Facilitate data collection, compile into SX specifications and enter into systems.
  • Prepare instructions and arrange samples for third-party testing
  • Depending on risk level, review product artwork and marketing materials
  • Marketplace Defence - resolve product safety, regulatory, and compliance issues in a timely manner.
  • Collaborate with team members to swiftly investigate complaints and escalate to management.
  • Ensure compliance to our internal policies and processes – issue CAPAs when result findings are out of specification.
  • Perform product change assessment for regulatory requirements and conduct necessary testing
  • Keep cross-functional teams updated on project status
  • Communicate results across the group
  • Assist in the development of departmental policies and procedures and ensures consistency within the Quality management and compliance group
  • Assist in establishing processes which align with business goals and objectives to effectively communicate procedures to be implemented across the supply chain.
  • Further define component and product specifications
  • Any other adhoc tasks directed by Manager

Your Background


To join our team, you bring along 

  • Bachelors degree, preferably in the sciences, engineering, or similar
  • 2-3 years industry experience in consumer products and product development
  • Product safety and compliance international experience of consumer goods / products
  • Fluent in English
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with great attention to detail.
  • Highly organized with a strong operational focus
  • Ability to navigate through a fast-paced, dynamic environment while juggling priorities and deadlines.
  • Team player with strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Experience using Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, Powerpoint)
  • Ability to utilize / learn software or technical applications and systems at an intermediate level.
  • Sound business judgment with the ability to simplify complex issues and find practical solutions.
