Arquitectonica is an award-winning, design-focused architecture and planning firm with a worldwide practice of 500+ employees located in nine offices. Our Miami Headquarters is seeking a Project Designer with a minimum of 5 years’ experience to join our team. As a Project Designer at Arquitectonica, you will work on a variety of projects and be involved in the design of our projects. You will collaborate with a multi-disciplined team and have the opportunity to join our company for a career that promises to be both challenging and rewarding.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Receive project requests and draft designs
- Work collaboratively with team leader, team members and clients to ensure accuracy of early design work
- Finalize drafting projects using both 2D and 3D software
- Revisit designs and make adjustments to designs as needed
- Research and incorporate artistic elements into designs as needed
- Ensure design specifications align to safety standards and governmental regulations
- Liaise with various professionals and departments to coordinate project details
Minimum Requirements:
- A Master's degree in Architecture preferred
- Actively pursuing, or has completed ARE testing and licensure from the NCARB
- 5+ years of experience in Residential and Commercial projects
- Knowledge and understanding of building codes
- Proven and successful experience creating structural designs
- Significantly detail-oriented with the ability to spot and fix potential design flaws
- Ability to work well in a team environment and manage daily tasks for self and junior staff
- Interacts well with other disciplines and clients in a manner that builds productive relationships
- Strong communication skills required to demonstrate design ideas and direction, both verbally and graphically
- Ability to work on multiple projects quickly and simultaneously while maintaining quality and customer service
- Proficiency with 3D design software. Preferably 3ds max. Rhino and Sketchup are also helpful. Proficiency with Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, and AutoCad. Revit knowledge and experience also desirable.
- Desire to work exclusively on front end of design process.

Compensation will be based on the candidate’s experience and abilities. Qualified and interested candidates should submit a resume and work samples.
