About the role:
As a Churn Manager at CookUnity, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing and leading our churn management strategies. This role combines deep analytical skills with a strategic mindset to mitigate customer churn effectively. Initially starting as an individual contributor, there is significant growth potential in this role, with opportunities to lead a dedicated team as the department expands.
Responsibilities:
- Leadership and Strategy: Lead the design and execution of comprehensive churn prevention and mitigation strategies. Act as a hands-on leader with the ability to drive processes and prioritize impactful campaigns.
- Analytics and Optimization: Utilize data-driven insights to identify churn trends and develop targeted interventions. Collaborate with the Data team to enhance customer segmentation and lifecycle management.
- Process Ownership: Take full ownership of churn management across the organization, defining key metrics and success measures. Develop scalable and resilient methodologies to minimize churn.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with other teams, including growth marketing, product, and customer experience, to implement strategic solutions that align with business goals and enhance customer retention.
- Innovation and Improvement: Lead operational projects aimed at improving customer conversion and retention rates. Experiment with new approaches and standardize successful practices into the team’s playbook.
- Communication and Influence: Clearly communicate strategies and solutions across the company, ensuring alignment and collaborative efforts in go-to-market and customer engagement initiatives.
Minimum Requirements:
- 2-3+ years of experience in churn management, preferably within a subscription-based company, with a proven track record of reducing churn and improving customer retention.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Economics, Statistics, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience in data analytics tools and customer relationship management systems.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence across all levels of the organization.
- Fluent in English, with outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
- Self-motivated and capable of working effectively under pressure and within tight deadlines.
Preferred requirements:
- Strong leadership capabilities with the ability to manage and inspire a team.
- Experience with agile project management methodologies.
