For our office in Managua, Nicaragua, we are looking for an enthusiastic and eager-to-learn professional to join us as a Junior Java Backend Developer at our innovative company. As a team member, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to learn how to translate business requirements into efficient and reliable code, helping to create robust and scalable microservices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the design, development, and maintenance of robust and scalable microservices using Java.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and learn how to translate them into efficient and reliable code.
- Support the building and maintenance of APIs for seamless communication between microservices.
- Participate in code reviews to learn and ensure high code quality and adherence to best practices.
- Help investigate and resolve issues related to microservices functionality and performance.
- Assist in creating and maintaining documentation for developed microservices, APIs, and integration processes to facilitate knowledge transfer within the team.
- Work closely with other developers and stakeholders to ensure the smooth integration of microservices into the overall system architecture.
- Stay informed about industry trends and emerging technologies in microservices development. Engage in learning opportunities to improve development processes and enhance overall efficiency.
Minimum Skills:
- Basic knowledge of programming in Java (Java 11 or higher).
- Familiarity with microservices development and architecture.
- Basic understanding of databases, preferably MongoDB.
- Basic experience with project management tools, MAVEN, and Gradle.
- Experience with version control tools, such as Git.
- Ability to work in a team and collaborate with different areas.
- Basic problem-solving skills.
- Fluency in English is preferred but not required.
Desired Skills:
- Basic knowledge of Python (Python 3 or higher).
- Familiarity with event streaming platforms, such as Kafka.
- Basic understanding of Redis.
