Rhino has already saved billions of dollars for renters and is trusted in over 3 million homes nationwide.As Staff Accountant at Rhino, you’ll join an accomplished team, helping us build the foundation of a company that is positioned to revolutionize the renting process.In this role, you will:
- Prepare month-end journal entries for various financial transactions such as prepaid expenses, fixed asset amortization, cost of revenue reclasses and accruals
- Prepare multiple bank reconciliations and corresponding journal entries and analyze discrepancies as needed
- Maintain and reconcile various general ledger accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness
- Process accounts payables, cash receipts and cash disbursements
- Review and approve employee credit card and reimbursement requests
- Maintain vendor records within Netsuite
- Review and handle payment as well as collection disputes
- Collaborate with internal teams to support the organization as needed
- Support audit and tax requests as needed
- Leverage tools to streamline analysis and reporting such as SQL or Tableau
- Perform daily tasks as they relate to on-going business and accounting functions
- Perform various accounting, administrative and other related duties as assigned and required by the role
In terms of qualifications, we’re ideally seeking:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in accounting, finance, or economics
- Minimum 1-2 years of experience in a fast-paced environment
- Strong technical abilities and proficiency in MS Excel, capable of working with large amounts of data (SQL and Tableau a plus) and other accounting software (experience with NetSuite a plus)
- Obsessive attention to detail and follow-through
- Strong organizational skills
- Initiative and ownership - self-starter capable of driving projects independently and with urgency
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment, flexible and able to work autonomously as well as part of a team
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to prioritize and complete multiple tasks within set deadlines
Compensation & BenefitsBase Salary Range:$70,000 - $85,000Rhino has partnered with a number of compensation benchmarking tools to determine competitive and fair market pay bands for our size and stage. Our goal is to ensure each employee is paid equitably and competitively while also maintaining a consistent and standardized methodology.Individual pay decisions are based on a number of factors including qualifications for the role, experience level and balancing internal equity relative to other Rhinos.Base salary is just one part of our Total Rewards Package here at Rhino.
