We are seeking a full-time Licensed Journeyman Electrician.


Our team seeks an Installation & Service Electrician that will work under the direction of the Branch Manager. Your primary responsibility will be to provide electrical installation and service support on Fire Alarm, Emergency Light & Security Installation and Repair projects.  This will include running low voltage circuits using both armored cable and conduit.  High voltage final connections and troubleshooting will also be part of your day. The position is full-time with occasional regional travel required.

Electrician Duties and Responsibilities


  • Install conduit (EMT, Rigid, etc.) and wiring on surface and in hidden/concealed areas.
  • Inspecting and maintaining/repairing existing electrical systems.
  • Ensuring that electrical systems in buildings (both residential and industrial) comply with Ontario Electrical Safety Code with applicable CAN/ULC standards.
  • Assist with preliminary planning, sketches, and estimates for installation, repair, upgrade, and maintenance of electrical systems.
  • Training and supervising new hires on the intricacies of electrical installation standards.
  • Interpreting and reading blueprints and electrical drawings.

Electrician Requirements and Qualifications


  • 309A License - Electrician Construction & Maintenance.
  • Commercial and/or Industrial Electrical experience.
  • Location: GTA North (Markham, Peterborough, Kingston, Brockville)
  • Ability to travel occasionally within the region.
  • Valid G Driver’s License.
  • Demonstrate strong communication skills, both verbal and written, and interpersonal skills.
  • Good time management and organizational skills.
  • Experience with Fire Alarm and/or Security is an asset, but we will train if necessary.

Physical Requirements


Continual walking, standing, climbing, stooping, bending, kneeling, reaching, and heavy lifting and carrying up to 50lbs. Must be able to read blueprints and recognize various colors of wiring. Work in tiring and uncomfortable positions, outside and inside. Frequent districtwide travel.
