www.fire-sp.comThe Fire Alarm Manager at Fire Safety and Protection LLC uses a growth mindset to help build and manage a successful Fire Alarm Division within the Branch. The Fire Alarm Manager plays a crucial role in the Branch by providing project management, leadership and team support, construction oversight, subject matter expertise, and hands-on technical expertise.
Fire Alarm Manager
- Work with local leadership and Executive leadership to establish department capital budget.
- Work with local leadership and Executive leadership to establish department revenue/margin goals.
- Work with local leadership to capture existing customer needs.
- Plan weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual SMART departmental goals.
- Plan workforce alignment with goals.
- Hold and maintain credentials for licensing for Fire Alarm operations for the Beltsville, MD, / DC branch.
- Estimate inspections, service, and installation work for Fire Alarm department.
- Coordinate schedules for workforce to execute fire alarm sales work.
- Work with local leadership to hire, train, and develop department personnel with industry best practices and personal improvement.
- Responsible for weekly reporting on sales in progress and work in progress.
- Help develop partnerships with local and national manufacturers to gain competitive advantages in the market.
- Assist with any needs of the department as it begins.
- May include fieldwork, programming, sales, process development/implementation, inventory management, design, Project Management, service troubleshooting.
- Plan to learn and efficiently use scheduling, accounting, Microsoft products, and other software.
- Help develop pricing tools and establish pricing for fire alarm services.
- Work with Local leadership and executive leadership to synergize and leverage any shared resources such as monitoring, distributorships, and branding initiatives.
- Offer support to the field teams as needed.
- May include training or support with other FSP branches.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Related field OR equivalent experience.
- 5+ years in supervisory role.
- 10+ years Fire Alarm experience.
- Journeyman experience.
- NICET Level 3
- General Contractor License

Physical Requirements:
- Able to work in unusual and sometimes difficult positions such as climbing ladders, scaffolding and high lift equipment up to 40 feet, working within ducts, crawl spaces, above ceilings, etc.
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends to meet customer requirements.
- Overnight travel may be required.
