In this highly visible role, the Accounting Manager will assist the Accounting Senior Manager & the VP of Accounting with overseeing accounting, month-end close, and financial reporting.
What you’ll do:
- Prepare and review balance sheet account reconciliations
- Prepare and review journal entries
- Help ensure weekly and month-end close tasks are completed accurately and timely, including supervision of staff
- Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements in accordance with US GAAP to ensure accuracy, comparability, consistency and completeness
- Identify process improvements to ensure efficient use of resources while maintaining a high level of accuracy
- Support the implementation of new accounting, finance and technology systems
- Supervise the accounts payable function: ensuring invoices are properly coded, approved timely, posted and reconciled from the aging to the general ledger
- Supervise and mentor our Accounts Payable and Travel and Expense Specialists
- Assist with drafting of footnotes for annual audited financial statements
- Work professionally with external auditors and tax advisors as needed
- Assist with ad-hoc projects as needed
What you have:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- 5+ years of accounting experience, with 3 years’ experience in high growth technology and/or public accounting with high growth technology clients
- CPA preferred, but not required
- Experience managing others with strong interpersonal skills.
- Self-starting critical thinker who thrives in environments of accountability
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently, efficiently and effectively
- Effective written and oral communicator, with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally and distill complexity to non-finance users
- Ability to prioritize tasks, multi-task, in a deadline oriented environment
- Intermediate excel experience
- NetSuite experience preferred, but not required
Where you’ll live:
- Anywere in the US if fine but preference given to candidates in Atlanta, GA
