Senior
Financial Analyst who will play a significant role in MacStadium’s day-to-day finance activities. The right person for this role will be an organized self-starter with the ability to collaborate with cross functional teams within the company. You will have the ability to make a direct contribution to a growing team and a fast-growing company.This position reports to the Director - Finance and preferred location for this role is in Atlanta, GA.MacStadium's current U.S.
office locations are in Atlanta, GA and Las Vegas, NV. While it is ideal to have this position located in close proximity to one of our offices, we are open to filling the role remotely outside of the states of Georgia and Nevada (within the United States) for the right candidate. For remote applicants outside of Eastern time zone, working hours will coincide with Eastern time zone hours.
What you will be doing:
- Actively participate in monthly accounting close activities including preparing journal entries and account reconciliations
- Process monthly revenue recognition consistent with GAAP
- Analyze and reconcile revenue accounts including deferred revenue, accounts receivable, and sales tax or VAT
- Perform daily and monthly cash analysis and reconciliation of bank accounts
- Act as revenue finance point person for client facing sales team
- Assist with the annual budget and forecast as well as participate in the quarterly re-forecast process
- Analyze complex customer accounts and resolve any billing or revenue discrepancies as they arise in a timely manner providing communication as needed
- Provide an analysis of trends and performance as well as monthly budget vs. actual variance analysis
- Track key performance metrics, detailed customer account and revenue reporting, as well as other ad-hoc reporting
- Actively participate in the development, implementation, and improvement of new systems and automated processes.
What Skills and Experience you need to have:
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance; MBA a plus
- 1-3 years overall accounting/finance experience; US GAAP knowledge
- Current daily use of mainstream ERP system (NetSuite is a plus); Excel experience; Billing System experience
- Effective communicator, strong interpersonal skills, and excellent team player
- Proven ability to meet day-to-day deadlines while concurrently working on multiple projects
- Self-motivated, driven, and strong problem-solving skills
- Ability to excel in an ever-changing, entrepreneurial environment
