What we need:
The Quality Engineering Lead is responsible for the planning, development, execution, and delivery of manual and automated tests, integrating with software, hardware, and manual processes that support the MacStadium platform. Responsibilities also include both technical and organizational strategy for conducting tests related to functionality, product requirements, and user acceptance.This position will work in collaboration with our Product, Software Development, and Ops organizations to define quality standards for new and existing products, and to establish repeatable processes for the verification and validation of those products at repeatable intervals, and at each phase of the Software Development Lifecycle.
This is a technical position – where possible, tests should be memorialized as code once they have been initially validated manually.This position is a part of our Software Development team, reporting to the VP – Engineering, and the preferred location is in Atlanta, GA.MacStadium's current U.S. office locations are in Atlanta, GA and Las Vegas, NV. While it is ideal to have this position located in close proximity to one of our offices, we are open to filling the role remotely outside of the states of Georgia and Nevada (within the United States) for the right candidate.
What you will be doing:
- Establish an interdisciplinary testing strategy to support the delivery of solutions that include software, hardware, and some manual processes
- Work with product to establish quality-based acceptance criteria for new products
- Own the reporting and attribution of functional regressions across the platform
Technical Skills required:
- Testing experience using automation frameworks such as Selenium, Puppeteer, or Cypress.io
- Experience leading and the implementation and delivery of test management tooling such as TestMo, TestRail, or BrowserStack
- Proficiency with JavaScript or TypeScript
- Knowledge of Go and Python is a plus
- Performance testing experience using JMeter, Apache AB, or Locust is a plus
What experience and skills you need to have:
- 5 years of professional experience in Quality Assurance (QA or SQA) / Quality Engineering (QE)
- Experience defining test strategies for a growing quality organization
- Experience testing APIs (GraphQL preferred)
- Experience testing infrastructure in the cloud or on-prem
- Ability to work on individually on defined tasks with minimal supervision
- Ability to work in a distributed team environment to deliver components to complex projects
- Bachelor's degree or Master’s degree in a relevant discipline or relevant experience
