Community Curator - Connected Cities
As a Community Curator at The Gathering Spots - Connected Cities, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing our members' experience by organizing and executing engaging events, maintaining an active community board, and ensuring exceptional customer service. This position is ideal for someone with strong organizational skills, creativity, and a passion for building and nurturing communities.Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Event Planning:
- Collaborate with the team to plan a variety of events, including workshops, networking mixers, panel discussions, and social gatherings.
- Coordinate with vendors, venues, and suppliers to ensure cost-effective event execution.
- Manage event budgets and allocate resources efficiently.
- Coordinate event logistics, such as catering, audiovisual equipment, and signage.
- Event Execution:
- Lead the setup, coordination, and on-site management of events to ensure they run smoothly.
- Customer Experience:
- Build strong relationships with members and ensure their needs and concerns are addressed promptly.
- Act as a point of contact for relevant inquiries and provide exceptional customer service.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in event planning and management is preferred.
- Strong organizational and project management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Creativity and the ability to think outside the box to create unique and engaging events.
- Familiarity with community management and online forums is a plus.
- Enthusiasm for fostering a sense of belonging and building strong communities.
- Availability to work evenings and weekends as required by event schedules.
