The Grants and Development Director will lead strategic management and ensure compliance of PLC's grant portfolio.
The Grants and Development Director will collaborate with the finance team to integrate financial strategies that align with grant and organizational objectives, emphasizing fiscal responsibility. This position will be responsible for enhancing fundraising efforts, cultivating donor relationships, and managing grant calendars.
Key Responsibilities:
- Grant Portfolio Management: Oversee the grant and major gifts lifecycle from initiation to closure, ensuring alignment with strategic goals, strict compliance with regulations, and financial accountability.
- Grant Development: Identify and pursue funding opportunities that align with our focus on design, entrepreneurship, and the HBCU legacy. Utilize a variety of grant models, including those from educational institutions, corporate sponsors, and non-profit alliances, to craft compelling grant proposals.
- Compliance and Collaboration: Maintain rigorous compliance with all applicable regulations and foster collaborative relationships with educational institutions and non-profit alliances, enhancing mutual compliance and benefiting from shared expertise.
- Leadership: Be the essential link between development efforts and organizational leadership. Expand their funding base by leveraging our network within the HBCU community and broader design and creative industries, emphasizing partnerships with non-profit alliances.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in relevant field; Master's preferred.
- 4+ years in grant management/development with a successful funding track record.
- Excellent communication and team leadership skills.
Salary:
Compensation is base + bonus.
