Preparis is seeking a motivated and curious User Research Intern to join our Product Team for a summer internship.
This internship offers an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience in conducting Voice of Customer (VoC) research, which will directly contribute to shaping a critical initiative for our strategic platform. Under the guidance of seasoned professionals, the intern will have the chance to learn best-in-class research methodologies and tools while receiving direct coaching from our VP of Product, Product Owner, and Senior UX Designer.Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct user research activities such as interviews, surveys, usability testing, and data analysis to gather insights into user needs, preferences, and behaviors.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Product Management, Design, Engineering to align research objectives with business goals.
- Synthesize research findings into actionable insights and recommendations to inform product development decisions.
- Assist in creating user journey maps, and other artifacts to communicate user insights effectively.
- Learn to utilize industry-standard research tools and methodologies to conduct qualitative and quantitative research effectively.
- Participate in team meetings, brainstorming sessions, and design critiques to contribute ideas and insights from a user-centric perspective.
Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Human-Computer Interaction, Design, or related field.
- Strong interest in user-centered design principles and methodologies.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate ideas and insights clearly and concisely.
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Familiarity with research tools such as usability testing platforms, survey tools, and data analysis software is a plus.
- Previous experience in user research or related field is advantageous but not required.
