The Role
The Data & Analytics Engineering team plays a central role in how data moves around Capital on Tap. They are responsible for building, maintaining, and optimising our data platforms from design to the end product. As a Data/Analytics Engineer, you will provide seamless access to high-quality, tested, and documented data to enable our teams to build and optimise our products - ultimately helping our customers and the growth of Capital on Tap.
This would be a hybrid position, working from our London Offices 1-2 days per week
Responsibilities
- Own the data stack for Capital on Tap (Fivetran, Snowflake, DBT, and Looker)
- Own the flow of data through our Cloud Data Warehouse and component parts
- Create and maintain data pipeline architecture, through organised and tested DBT models
- Build out and own custom data pipelines using Python and the Azure platform
- Identify, design, and implement internal process improvements (Github CI/CD, automating manual processes, optimising data delivery, etc.)
- Work with stakeholders including the Leadership Team, Credit, Fincrime, Finance, and Engineering to assist with data-related issues/requirements
- Keep our data efficient and consistent at a global level, maintaining our warehouse environments over multiple regions
What do we require?
- Expert SQL coding skills
- Experience modeling data (e.g. dimensional modeling)
- Experience working with a Cloud Data Warehouse (we work with Snowflake)
- Familiarity developing/building within a BI tool - Looker is preferable. (Mode, Tableau, etc. is also acceptable)
