Customer Service Advisor

Customer Operations at Capital on Tap
You’ll be the first point of contact for small business owners all over the UK and US. Our customers can get in touch via various channels such as telephony, emails and live chat. Our customers are trying to build their businesses, and we are there to support them every step of the way. You’ll solve problems, fix things that aren’t working for them, and give them a leg up when they need it. We thrive from customer feedback to pilot new ideas, you’ll need to listen to our customers and understand from them how we can build a better business.
What you'll be doing:
- Helping our customers with everything related to their account by providing excellent customer support
- Listening to feedback and making our products and service better by fixing any problems customers face.
- Staying alert for customers who might need extra help, spotting potential fraud, or anyone having trouble with our products.
You should apply if:
- You already have customer service experience from retail, hospitality or in a telephony based role
- You have great communication skills and can build rapport easily with team members and customers
- You enjoy working in a fast paced environment and can adapt to change quickly
- You are good at explaining more complex information in a simple way
- You're good at taking on feedback, learning from mistakes and have a willingness to improve
Shift patterns
- You'll be joining the nights team, working 6pm-6am & 8pm-8am.
- Week 1: 4 nights on, 3 off
- Week 2: 3 nights on, 1 night off, 3 nights on
- Week 3: 4 nights off, 3 nights on
- Week 4: 7 days off. (Yep, you read that right 😁)
- Office based
Training
Your first 6 weeks will be training, between the hours of 9am-7pm Monday-Friday. This will be a mixture of classroom-based training, buddying and training as you go. Full attendance will be required during this period and we'll be unable to approve any time off while you're undergoing training. You'll join your night team after this period.
Interview process
- Initial interview is our Values interview with a member of our internal Talent Team - Keep an eye on your emails for an invite!
- Final stage will be our assessment day. We have two dates available, Wednesday 5th June (10am-2pm) or Thursday 6th June (3pm-7pm). These will be held at our office in Cardiff.
- Closing date 3rd June
- Start date will be 8th July.
