Summary:
We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer with 6-8+ years of experience writing web applications. At Science Exchange, you will work on a platform built to accelerate Scientific research. We want engineers who are passionate about moving science forward. The platform is built on a combination of Salesforce and AWS, and we want engineers curious about solving big problems for our customers.

The Science Exchange supplier orchestration platform helps scientists accelerate their research by providing an all-in-one digital platform to source, order, manage and pay for R&D products and services. About the role:
- Estimate, understand, and execute on user stories presented by the product team to bring new and/or improved features to our users
- Collaborate on the design and implementation of systems that solve critical problems for our customers and our business
- Refactor and refine existing systems for scalability, maintainability, and reliability
- Provide guidance and mentorship to less experienced teammates
- Improve internal tools to make other teams in the company more efficient
- Present technical concepts, challenges, and solutions to non-technical stakeholders clearly and concisely
- Meet with external clients and partners to discuss technical integration details (occasionally)
Specific qualifications & requirements:
- 6-8 years of professional experience writing web applications
- B.S. in Computer Science or equivalent experience
- Experience with Serverless AWS services such as Lambda, DynamoDB, and API Gateway. Experience with AWS CDK would be a plus.
- Experienced with building and managing Salesforce infrastructure including using Apex and LWC framework.
- Proficiency with Jira, Confluence, and GitHub
- Experience writing enterprise software
- Experience in a startup environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication, with ability to describe technical details to non-technical audience
- Ability to work independently, communicating across multiple time zones
- Detail-oriented with the ability to track every detail in a fast-paced environment while simultaneously monitoring the progress of the bigger picture. With a proven track record of delivering projects on time.
- Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally. Ability to close the loop on important topics, ensuring anyone who needs to know knows.
$145,000 - $180,000 a yearThe US-based salary range for this full-time position is $145,000-$180,000. Our salary ranges are determined by the role and seniority level. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay can be determined by additional factors including, but not limited to, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education and/or training. Please note that the compensation details listed in US-based postings reflect the base salary only.
Incentive compensation (commissions, bonuses), equity compensation (stock options), and health, dental and vision benefits are also offered for all US-based roles.
