Our valued customers include brands like Intuit, Porsche, and Verizon and we have been recognized as a startup to watch by Business Insider, Forbes, and Gartner to name a few.About your role: As a Senior Software Engineer on the AI Agent team, you will be part of a dynamic group that includes experts in frontend, backend, and ML/NLP disciplines. In this role, you will significantly influence our product roadmap and strategic direction, particularly within our AI Agent infrastructure. Your work will be crucial in enabling a variety of Cresta's AI Agent applications, delivering transformative solutions to our customers. You will focus on developing and optimizing various components of Cresta's in-house AI Agent platform, ensuring the highest quality of AI-driven solutions. Our team is at the forefront of leveraging cutting-edge AI technologies to deliver a truly unique and market-leading product suite.
What you'll do:
- Play a substantial role in the Cresta Virtual Agents engineering team.
- Work with Cresta product and engineering teams, build and continuously improve the Cresta platform to support new product requirements.
- Stay closely with customers and their requirements, analyze the technical tradeoffs, own the customer facing deliverables.
- Develop high quality, well designed, reusable, and well-tested system components, and contribute to the overall system designs.
- Optimize the platform design and implementation for lower latency, higher throughput, better reliability, and cost reduction.
- Demonstrate the engineering best practices in deliverables and daily work. Uphold others to the same high standards.
- Grow into technical ownership in a substantial part of the Cresta product and platform.
- Contribute to building the best-in-class company in addition to building the best-in-class product.
What we look for:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in relevant domains.
- Proficient in designing and maintaining clear and robust APIs based on strong understanding of various protocols including gRPC, REST, Websocket, etc.
- Proficient in handling real time streaming data (audio or video) with high throughput and low latency.
- Experience in high performance database schema design and query optimization.
- Experience in containerized application deployment with Kubernetes.
- Experience with one of the major cloud providers.
