As a Legal Counsel, you will join the Legal Department, who are the key contributors to Bitstamp’s reputation as one of the most compliant centralized crypto exchanges and with main goal to identify and address legal risks surrounding Bitstamp’s operation worldwide while providing inventive solutions in often unprecedented situations.

What you'll do
- Closely collaborate with other members of the Legal team and the Head of Legal on legal matters.
- Negotiate, draft, prepare and review legal papers, contracts, agreements, and other legal documents.
- Provide legal advice on new products and new service lines before launch.
- Advise managers and offer accurate legal guidance on relevant legal issues of the business.
- Assist in the handling of litigation matters.
- Liaise with multiple internal and external parties (including law firms) to ensure accuracy on negotiated vendor contracts and contractor agreements.
- Ensure that the company is acting in compliance with all current business and industry related laws and new regulations on a global scale.
- Performing the legal reviews and recommendations for different business areas in relation to compliance.
On day one you'll bring
- Degree in Law.
- Broad legal knowledge across various areas.
- Minimum 3 years of working experience in either an inhouse legal role or as an associate at a law firm.
- Strong and open communications skills.
- Autonomous and hands on with the ability to adapt and be pragmatic.
- Excellent knowledge of English language (written and verbal).
