About the Work:


As Director of Product Design at Honor, you will lead the strategic design initiatives for our comprehensive Care Platform, including web and native apps for operations teams, Care Pros, and care agency partners. Your leadership will ensure our design solutions are empathetic and effective, aligning with our mission to revolutionize the aging experience.

Responsibilities


  • Lead the Care Platform product design team, nurturing creativity and innovation.
  • Develop and execute a cohesive design strategy that aligns with business goals and our mission.
  • Play the role of primary user advocate, increasing the team’s insight and awareness of user’s needs.
  • Enhance existing products and design new initiatives that improve user experience (in both product and service).
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Product Management, Engineering, Data, and Operations) to integrate technology seamlessly into our services.
  • Drive user research and service design methodologies to understand better and meet our users' needs.
  • Manage and mentor an exceptional team of designers, fostering professional growth and excellence.
  • Champion a culture of high performance and continuous improvement.

Requirements


  • Extensive product and service design experience, with a highly developed ability to leverage the latest tools and technology, such as
  • 4+ years leading productive design & research teams shipping successful products & services
  • Strong systems thinker with a demonstrated ability to solve complex problems strategically
  • Proven leadership skills with experience in hiring, managing, and retaining high-performing talent
  • Mentoring design teams in scaling UX approaches, methods, processes, and delivery to appropriately solve problems of differing sizes and complexity.
  • Proficiency in integrating emerging technologies into user-centric services.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively with diverse teams.
  • A bias towards action and an iterative approach to product development

Desirable


  • Background in service design or extensive experience designing products with a strong service design component.
  • Experience in startup environments, adept at navigating and thriving in fast-paced settings.
  • Experience with AI-assisted design processes and AI-enabled, omnichannel interaction design.
