About the team
The IT team at carwow is key to ensuring our people have access to the best hardware, software, and support in order to perform well in their roles. As we continue to scale and onboard more talented folk, it is essential we're able to continue offering a speedy and high-quality level of service to our users - keeping issues and downtime to a minimum.
About the role
We're looking for a Junior IT Administrator with an organised, proactive, can-do attitude to help assist the existing IT team in shaping and defining how we provide support across our operating countries. The objective of this newly created role is to support the business with Onboarding and Offboarding processes, basic tech troubleshooting in the office and remotely and stock and asset management. You’ll be joining a lean, results oriented IT team, reporting to the IT Support Manager and working collaboratively with our People Operations team and stakeholders around the business.
In this role you’ll have the opportunity to progress your technical skills and work within a collaborative team understanding business processes.
What you’ll be doing
- You'll be the go-to person for onboarding and offboarding new employees, ensuring a smooth tech experience for new hires and leavers alike.
- You will manage basic troubleshooting of technical issues.
- You will take responsibility for Platform Access & Control and purchasing of equipment, including ordering laptops and managing stock
- You will be the first point of contact for basic troubleshooting of IT issues using a helpdesk system, managing access to the various platforms in use, escalating any issues to your escalation points, and setting up accounts for new starters.
- You will co-ordinate with People Operations departments and Hiring Managers, providing IT support.
- You will also have the opportunity to work with the wider IT team on technical tasks, learn about the different platforms and systems we use and administer at Carwow and contribute to the smooth running of IT and tech at Carwow.
- You must at all times strive to act in the customers’ best interest, delivering honest, fair, and professional services.
What you’ll need

- Be a confident people person, able to communicate with different stakeholders and teams around the business
- Be highly organised, and able to effectively manage your workload.
- Have an aptitude for technology, and show a keen interest in developing your technical skills.
- Show a keen interest in keeping up to date with the latest technology topics.
- Know when to ask for help from your team, and be able to effectively communicate and escalate issues and support queries.
- A positive attitude, and ability to work with people at all levels.
- Comfortable supporting macOS and Windows devices in a work environment.
- Comfortable supporting audio visual, conferencing and meeting room equipment, cabling etc.
- Ability to spot and shout about improvements, and solve issues proactively.
