Business Development Representative (BDR)

As a Lightcast Business Development Representative, you’ll play a key role in generating new business opportunities for the company and be a part of building a world-class sales development team at a category defining tech company. As the glue between marketing and sales this role is responsible for carrying the baton from inbound marketing leads to sales opportunity as well as contributing to new pipeline generation via outbound efforts. 

Major Responsibilities:


  • Generate awareness and interest for Lighcast through cold calling, emailing and other various channels to prospective customers
  • Following up on inbound Marketing generated leads, moving them through the funnel and getting them connected with an Account Executive for an initial discovery call
  • Develop relationships with prospects to best uncover pain points, qualify interest and prepare hand-off for sales
  • Provide actionable feedback on how to increase effectiveness and efficiency around the BDR function and overall process
  • Report on key metrics, successes and learnings of daily outbound activities 
  • Cross-team collaboration to collect and share best practices around messaging

Skills/Abilities:


  • Track record of top performance or prior success.
  • Willingness to come in and help build the BDR Team from the ground up.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills. 
  • Great writer, speaker and listener. 
  • Self starter who is able to operate in a hyper growth environment.
  • Experience working in Salesforce, HubSpot, Apollo and other various tools.

Education and Experience:


  • 1 - 3 years of professional experience
